N light of the three previews we've already dedicated to the new strain of Nadia, we need to go hard with the review you are about to read. Track Mania 2: Canyon should know almost everything, apart from the single-player mode, the game's most valuable pieces were already contained in the beta, or the track editor and multiplayer modes. Faced with a launch price of around twenty euros, however, it is normal for the enthusiast PC-vista (used to be treated well by the world of independent developers) expect a lot from the game in terms of content "ready" and is for this reason that a case on the single-player component is crucial.

It's strange to talk about a game published by Ubisoft for PC without having to complain about at least some 'of DRM and similar amenities: Track Mania 2, being now entirely based on an online platform - Mania Planet, for the most distracted - obviously needs a connection for be enjoyed thoroughly. The online integration, as it is structured the game and for the ambitions of its platform, is key: even if you play the single-player mode, you can challenge any other player on the fly by downloading the related ghost, able to constantly compare with the times achieved by the other players around the world is the natural continuation of the game experience, having won the three medals that allow you to unlock, as all paths.

The progressive increase in the level of difficulty is smeared on some categories, identified by different colors: white, green, blue, red and white, drawn from the simplest to the most treacherous, the last season is only unlocked by achieving the gold in all others and is not a trivial task. If the first two collections of tracks are in fact considered to be introductory, and easy to approach, with the third you start to breath a certain air of defiance, and in some cases it is inevitable that a little face peeking 'frustration. Actually, who has enjoyed the previous Track Mania knows that having to endlessly repeat some sections, for them "solved", is part of the game play as well as the possibility of mastering a track to hit first. In any case, and forgive the pun, victory is never the result of chance but a lot of experience on the slopes to erode hundredths of a second to his time.

The passage of beta tested very recently to the final version has not led to macroscopic changes in the sections that we already knew: the abundance of servers in our neighboring countries - Germany and France in the lead allowing always very low lag. On official servers Ubisoft play especially when the track of the single-player mode, but wandering, of course, is everything: the variety of proposals that, in fact, at first, it is hard to put things right. Unfortunately it is not easy to infer the quality of the tracks with no physical evidence and there is a ranking of the most successful, but the rankings affect the performance of players divided by country and even region.

The editor, as noted above, is both friendly and difficult: the clear interface shall enable anyone to create a track without reading any manual, the lack of a tutorial you rather listen to the rise of the first difficulty. In particular, it is easy to see why some pieces are able to engage each other and others do not, fortunately, is not mandatory that the track is "whole" but only that the car is able to pass from one checkpoint to another - possibly on purpose and not a fluke. Confirmed the assessment of excellence on technical aspects: the cleanliness and smoothness of the graphics engine net code is accompanied by a reliable and a sub sound good, as long as you appreciate the minimal electronic music. Being a single setting, do not feel to criticize the graphics in terms of style, which looks rather compact and credible - even clear just varies.
