Warp had already told you last April , following an Electronic Arts event during which the title was developed by Trapdoor manifesting before our eyes totally by surprise. And our enthusiasm of the time, only mitigated by the fact that he felt a very short demo, he found solace in the second test, performed at ' EA Showcase the latest, during which we discovered more details about the game and it was confirmed that - hooray hooray - the output is expected by the end of this year.

Warp is about a chubby little being who finds himself running away from the classic laboratory where a troop of scientists has put under the microscope. It is no coincidence that the early stages of the game we are involved in testing and trudging to their assorted mazes, in an attempt to recover what we have been stolen. The little hero of the story, in fact, is the owner of devices that offer a variety of powers, and that may be recovered during the course of the game to unlock this or that ability. The starting point is the teleportation which gives its name to the game and allows you to overcome obstacles appear and disappear around to disorient the enemy and, above all, moving in more or less anything that the tonnage of the protagonist. Whether it be human or inanimate objects, our adorable creatures can enter and, if desired, through frenetic agitation on analog stick, shake them until they explode.

Exactly, you are in the warp blow up in a blaze of blood, evil human beings. And, for that matter, you can eliminate them in many other ways, using elements of the scenario as death traps. It is not mandatory to do so and, indeed, the development team ensures that you can complete the game without killing anyone (there will, moreover, incentives to deal with it in both ways, probably in the form of Achievements and Trophies). The use of powers, however, even this power base is not only limited to its primary effect. It can for example be combined with various elements of the environment to create a variety of reactions. It can also be used in ways that are subtle, to knock out without killing the enemies, as the "possession" and the stunning "hack", if brought up almost to the point of murder and then stopped, crashed to the ground owned, leaving him unconscious for a few seconds. More generally, the impression is that, beyond the puzzles to progress through the game, the level design is thought to offer more and different ways of approach to the situation, providing more items and more roads, as well as putting into account the classical situation where the player ends up using the powers in a way that the developer had not expected.
