But we analyze in detail the range of Epic, starting of course from starters. Spending the fateful 800 points, you can impress your opponents (?) And trigger the envy of your fellow soldiers (!?!) with two unique skins: Plasma Team, animated decal that will embellish your weapons with a band of light in motion, and Jungle camo, traditional military-style patterns. Among the new characters are selectable but noted the presence of a member of the Guards corazzatissimo Onyx (special body established to protect the secret Commander Prescott during the catastrophe that has devastated Evening), Bernie Mataki granny's Rasta, Big Rig and Dizzy, version über redneck - and über redneck is meant "complete with overalls, trucker cap, and straw in his mouth" - certainly not of the already refined Dizzy Wallin.
The new fortifications for the Horde include the brand new Command Center (special protection that allows to seek the help of other remote unit COG, the snipers with the Hammer of Dawn satellite support!) and a new level for the ability to bait, Sentinel and Silverback. Particularly questionable, however, are the procedures for using these exclusive upgrades: In order to actually get on the field to deploy the new fortifications there will in fact exorbitant investment in terms of dollars and hours, thus limiting use only to the real maniacs of the Horde (and thus precluding the fun of an audience even if only slightly less devoted).
THE THREE OF THE APOCALYPSE
The heart of the offer is however inevitably represented by the new maps: according to taste and personal style of play arenas are in fact always make the difference between an enjoyable game and a momentous massacre itself. Rust is a map of size completely contained, set within a ship are surgically metallic corridors lit by halogen lights scattered here and there, while outside is raging fury of a storm that whips the door and shake the sea. Of note a particularly sheltered (perfect for camping at the beginning of the Horde!) And a loading platform of the torpedo, with covers that come and go unpredictably from the floor (ground insured for the carnage deathmatch!).
Completely different Azura is the feeling, the map that takes the idyllic location in view of the fifth act of the single player campaign: here in the yellow predominates, with unabashedly tropical atmosphere and a sun far from the typical dark decay of Gears of War. Wide, sufficiently convoluted and symmetrical, Azura is perfect for hordes in style, thanks especially to the tower in a privileged position. Trail of blood is instead a welcome return from the second episode , two flights of stairs that start from a common yard, paving the way for communicating corridors, for what would be a sort of war-ravaged hospital. Gloomy in tone and deadly in practice, a trail of blood characterized by the fighting "oblique", with the stairs which often become the scene of battles and exciting choreography.
ALL FOR ONE, ONE FOR ALL
Apart from the mere listing of the contents, it is worth to do some more consideration from the point of view of those who - like probably a very good readers of this article - did not hesitate to make his own in the blink of Season Pass' eye caught a little bustle 'of the unconscious enjoyment of the early days of furious chain saw in the company. For once, therefore, we express no thanks to codes provided by the developer or promotional copies courtesy of publisher, but with exactly the same perspective of those who, like you, have invested their euro face value, trust in that of peperino Cliffibì.
First: advances as they wanted (and as demonstrated incontrovertibly just above the 1.42 MB), the contents of this DLC was in large part on the disc already purchased - at full price, ça va sans dire! - On 20 September. The umpteenth repetition of a practice as grotesque as annoyingly consolidated, that knows more about real rip-off that the business proposal.
Second point: not all materials are Horde Command Pack (and certainly will be) exclusive to purchasers of the same. Or rather: the skin, the multiplayer characters and fortifications for the Horde will remain the prerogative of those who have paid, while the maps from next November 24 will be issued free of charge (along with remakes of two other historical arenas) in Versus Map Pack Booster
AND I'LL PAY!
Now, the gift from Epic is certainly welcome, as is the laudable attempt to avoid segmenting the audience in a rather brutal players Gears of War (in fact aficionado splitting between standard and premium users), yet the feeling of either too vague discomfort is felt all right for the derriere unfortunate buyers. Entering the game of a holder of Command Horde pack as of now it is possible to enjoy the sun or the storm of Azura Rust without spending a single cent, and the prospect of even three weeks before the maps become public domain is frankly depressing.
Let's be clear: we are not in any way opposed to new content offered free to all, even against obviously approve of the initiative. Doing so, however, the very meaning of the downloadable content is less philosophically, and potentially at risk is the perception of the value of the long-Sponsored Season Pass, the most devoted fan and willing to pay more should be treated with kid gloves, no mortified with two skins and three avatars sold almost ten euros. If you belong to the fundamentalist Gears of War, probably, have already signed up to the Season Pass, and therefore the damage is already done, but if you're among the wise who have decided to await the publication of the various DLC, considering gradually, well past serenely over without a shot being fired (and even enjoy the new maps to our facciazza!).
