Five months separate the release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for iPhone output and this new iPad and 2, but aside from the graphic restyling Electronic Arts has not added any new evidence or in terms of game play, either as a bonus or extra any kind. A little disappointed, if we think the retail price (7.99 euros 2.39 euros against the previous version), but for those who want to use the full resolution of the tablet from Apple this "remake" in HD could be very interesting.

As mentioned above, nothing has changed since the beginning of the exit year and here we are then faced with a first-person shooter in which a military background, including military resources of every kind and a good variety of locations, arises in the wake of many FPS today and attracts quite faithfully certain stylistic choices of Battlefield. If the plot is really a small thing and the characters do not add anything to the usual styles of the genre, the game hits from the beginning for the increase in graphics than five months ago.

 Not just a higher resolution and better fluidity (we tested it on iPad), but also textures sharper and more convincing than any effect (the yield of water in particular) make the game a valuable member of the genus, although compared to the main competitor Game loft (Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus) the overall impact it seemed a little 'more square and less rich graphical niceties.

The vast size of the display certainly has led to a better understanding of the play area and a less crowded interface, but also to greater difficulties with touch controls. You can choose between three settings, one with the classic icon for the movement (usually the analog stick) and fire a pity that these are far too small compared to the display, while opting for the other two settings have the same problem to fire accidentally while touching the screen to adjust the view. Auto aim helps a lot in these cases (especially with moving targets), but very often we hit enemies in the distance even though the sight was not centered on the target, and this is not really the ultimate in realism.

The checks turned out to be a little 'too cumbersome in the guidance of ground vehicles, especially when you have to turn and fire at the same time or when we have a reversal, or more complex maneuvers. Fortunately, the lack of enemy intelligence (not to mention the target) helps to not get into situations too frustrating, but since the first version we would have expected some improvement on this front. For the rest, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has the credentials to amuse fans of the genre. Fifteen missions, five absolutely different in their location (desert, jungle, ice), very different game situations even if just the original (sniping, fixed locations, vehicles and aircraft, launching air strikes), all seasoned by the spectacular setting typical of the series, which is not likely ever get bored.

The definition of "Battlefield in miniature" is not short span in the air, although the version on PC and console, the levels are inevitably more narrow and linear and we can also forget about the wonders of the physical Frostbite 1.5. Turning to the local multiplayer and online (in this case up to ten players), we find the same two modes as the previous version (Death match and Team Death match) and only three game maps (Warehouse, Sandstorm, the Cold War). More than content, which remain modest, we found great difficulty is to participate in an online game (constant disconnections), a lag is very invasive, which actually made it almost impossible to hold the match. We hope that EA systems as soon as the net-code, adding more and maybe some map (why not) at least one more game modes not Jurassic.
