The Wiimote Plus red, with its beautiful red silicone protection, it really is a beautiful object: this consideration would be enough, combined with the fact that Wii Motion Play now costs as much as a Wii Remote Plus - if not less, in some cases - recommended to make the purchase of this collection of mini-games with a controller attached. One wonders, if anything, at this point in the life cycle of the console, those who may never need a Wii Remote Plus, assuming that most Wii owners have at home a copy of Wii Sports Resort.

In 2006 there was a hunger for the Wiimote in the homes of players that even a laughable collection of mini-games like Wii Play was able to sell the monstrous figure of 26 million copies (also see why Miyamoto and Iwata printed money in the animated gif). Five years later, the music has changed and the content of Wii Play Motion is anything but laughable for variety, quality and rate of challenge. Let’s see what it is.

The arc of the twelve mini-games in this collection covers quite well the spectrum of possible types of players: the game is "casual assume", in which the Mii has to balance a tower of balls of ice cream that is becoming more high, and the most hardcore of the ship to fly in space inertia crazy having to fight with and a mapping of controls to military simulator. In the middle, ten intermediate offers have been able to generate many different reactions writers: the almost total indifference to fall in love more sincere, with the obvious corollary that even the deepest of these mini-games offer enough content to barely a few hours, if you want to win all the awards event and have someone to share the experience in multiplayer.

In the worst cases, one in which you are playing alone and with no claim of complete, Wii Play Motion could survive inside the console for a little afternoon. But given the type of game is quite obvious that it does. What, then, the most interesting? If you want something to test the "magic" of additional sensors, dates immediately look at the game of haunted house or the new shooting: in either case is asked to point the remote "out" from the screen - even behind the player - and it is objectively alienating experience for those who have played a lot with the old controller to the Wii since launch day. The game is also a good example of intelligent use of the built-in remote control. The mini-game that has absorbed more than ever, though, is the pinball machine: no need to do is tilt the Wiimote to rotate a bar centered in the middle, on which to bounce a ball against some targets to be addressed. In other words: thirty levels of pure madness in which you will find yourself yelling at the TV often begging for the ball to go where - of course - does not seem to want to know go.

Another point in favor of Wii Play in Motion care settings as a backdrop to the mini-games: from abstract to the most realistic pinball hypnotic throwing stones, running up to the total nonsense attached to an open umbrella with skates; in all these situations there is nothing that seems improvised or minimally sketched, in the context of a predictable and pleasant stylized graphics. And we challenge anyone not to feel ridiculous waving the Wiimote like a fan to address some balloons or trying not to laugh the most improbable and catastrophic landings last, sadistic mini-space-themed game. As happened many times before, the short circuit between motor control and empathy works perfectly, but Nintendo can say, this time, he had put a Wiimote with the game as a gift, not the other way.
