There are some applications, the first approach, and jaw-dropping with a sense of wonder and "technological breakthrough" that might give the impression of being jumped five years into the future. Star Walk is in this category: it is a deceptively simple program, the "usual" global, but is accompanied by a user interface that makes it an absolute must!

The "normal" part of the Star Walk provides a visual of the night sky, freely Rota table and zoom able like a "window" facing the sky. The graphics are beautiful and it's accompanied by evocative music. You can change the factor "time" or vary the brightness of stars in order to carry out even those that are not normally visible to the naked eye ... The iPad also shows all the constellations superimposing an artistic design to the stars.

At this point takes over the flash of genius: if we tilt the IPAD Star Walk up using the compass and the gyroscope to determine in real time the position of the tablet three-dimensional space and puts us in front of, literally, an open window on the sky that follows our movements!

The strength of this application, which apparently could be categorized as "educational" is the ability to amaze and excite you, do you want for the charm of the proverbial "Starry Night", do you want for some kind of interest in astronomy everybody, sooner or later, we tried. Point the tablet into the sky on a clear night, perhaps in a rural area where light pollution is less, may be an absolutely memorable.
