While the market for video games came into the world of HD consoles festive, and everyone was running to buy an LCD television, the "old guard" of PC gamers have experienced one of its cyclical periods of low, if not feared at least real, since that all the big shots - at the publisher - looked madly in love with the fledgling Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Perhaps then, few people realized that we were entering a long cycle, hardware, though - admittedly - studded with masterpieces for any platform, and not exclusive. Fast forward to 2011: we are at the height of "zero inferiority complex" on a PC will play the best versions of multiplatform games and the world "indeed" were turning out masterpieces such as pantone at Christmas; normal announcement of Hard Reset pumped and visually futuristic shooter, godson of Painkiller and more exclusive to the Windows world, someone could easily enhance both.

But nobody is naive enough to think that the choice of Flying Hog Wild has been dictated by a burning passion for PC and Hard Reset will sell well if not sooner or later we will see a console version: it's only a matter of budget, profit and nothing 'else. In this regard, it was perhaps a wise choice to remain under twenty euros, as the price, rather than go around thirty: it is fitting that there's a demo to try, but it seems almost an invitation to wait for the next rebate Steam.

Let the Fluffy behind and move on to more serious matters: what about hard reset, if there can import anything? Here, if the bottom of the article do not find the reason for five stars is almost all to be found in the plot and its setting, convoluted and sloppy the first, the second too general. Take a dustpan future, blade runner, all rain, neon lights and policemen who raise the elbow, throw it at great speed towards the Matrix trilogy, and the wreckage you will find perhaps some sliver of originality. But it is all so a tangle of pseudo-scientific terms and twists that even try to describe it in detail - so avoid the risk of spoilers something - just an idea, good or bad, you made it there.

As per tradition, the good kind, from Doom to Serious Sam, in the Hard Reset is not much to be thinking about the plot: activating a convenient - and far too "knob" - an indicator in the interface, it is virtually guided by the hand from one level to another, without the possibility of being lost or not understanding what to do to continue. From beginning to end is in fact a whole turn on and off switches to turn off light barriers which obstruct the passage or to operate an elevator. The different colored keys of Doom certainly require a greater intellectual effort by the player.
